Addenbrooke’s Hospital Haemostasis Unit is part of the department of clinical haematology and blood transfusion. The site will act as an information page about our department and new developments within it. The department is a fully accredited clinical laboratory. We provide a comprehensive thrombophilia diagnostic service and complete platelet function analysis, and we are the regional haemophilia reference centre for East Anglia. The thrombophilia diagnostic service takes in excess of 4000 referrals per year and offers a full range of protein and molecular analysis. The haemophilia centre is one of 22 comprehensive care centres in the UK.
